For the past 3 years, I have shared some of my new music finds from the past year, and 2022 will be no different. This time I shared the Spotify links which I lowkey regret because the loading time is painful. Here are some of the ‘new to me’ songs I have loved this year. Some are underrated gems, so I would love for you to listen to any of them (and tell me about your thoughts!)

MY FAVOURITE albums

From Spotify wrapped. My only prediction was Just Fucking Let Me Love You by Lowen because I know I played the heck out of it for a solid month. The lyrics and the note change are impeccable.
REACTION: okay, only one surprise.
He Hit Me was my favourite belting song. It is so good and the lyrics are really jarring but remarkable. The whole Promising Young Woman soundtrack is chef’s kiss.
Pasoori and Better Days were my go-to energy songs. They are perfect.
Already spoke about Just Let Me Fucking Love You. Then the surprise was Teeth. I do love this Lady Gaga song. It was a throwback. Best beat ever.

Little Mix was from early this year as I haven’t listened to them much recently. Their songs are still great.
The number of times I played my Marina CDs must make her my actual most listened-to artist. What can I say? It’s true love. I got to see her in concert this year. SOOOO good!
Jessie Reyez is sooo talented. I expected her to be on this list for sure.
Sam Smith. I missed the Love Goes album release last year but I caught up this year. What a great album.
Conan Gray‘s new album was beautiful. I had forgotten about it quicker than I expected, but still a moment.

My Sister got me on to this podcast and I love it! Very chill but hilarious. It has a very comforting vibe and I 100% recommend it, at least to see if it is your thing.
Two leads from Smallville rewatch the show from the first season. It is an old show now but they look at it honestly with lots of behind-the-scenes information. I enjoy it for what it is.

I know I’m incredibly late to the party, but I always adore posts that include music! And since I’m currently on a six-hour train journey home for Christmas break, you bet I’ll be listening to some of these! 🤗🎶 Thank you! I can already tell they’re gonna be good because “Surface Pressure” is among my own favorites as well. And I think my favorite new song that I discovered this year was Kings Elliot’s “Call Me a Dreamer” 🥰
