To All The Books I’ve Got To Read…

Thank you for waiting so patiently for me to read and no I didn’t forget about you… umm… thingy. There is a special place in my heart for you.

I know I’ve been meaning to read you for years…. it’s not that I prefer other books. I was just out of control. You are still on my mind. I haven’t forgotten I promise.

I know I brought you and I said I was going to read you straight away, I wasn’t lying. I meant it at the time but you see another book came out and I couldn’t resist. And new one are always coming out and I need to get to them you see. I know I need help.

And to all the sequels I’ve been meaning to read. I will get to you but its been a while since I’ve read the first one and **dramatic pause** well I’ve forgotten what happened. I’ll need to reread it. I just need more time.

I just want you to know it’s me, not you. And, well, you’re not alone. There are hundreds, thousands of you I’ve been meaning to read. My TBR is full of books like you, from new releases to back-listed books, and the rest of a series.

I don’t know how it happened, one just lead to another then another then another…. then another.

But I will get to you. I will read you if it’s the last thing I do. I am a reader and this is what we do. *game face on*
